Romantic comedies have been around a very long time in one form or other, whether written by Shakespeare or Judd Apatow (we're not sure what the Bard would have made of Knocked Up, however).

Many follow the same formula – two people meet, they share witty banter, there is some barrier to them getting together before they finally find happiness – but with newer movies like Crazy Rich Asians and Happiest Season scoring big at the box office and online, it's clear that the humorous road to romance still works.
